Aila Palm Family Resort

Aila Palm is a family resort in St Lucia, set at the foot of Mount Pimard within a larger development masterplanned by our studio. The project brings together a variety of accommodation options and shared spaces for children and adults, creating a warm, welcoming setting for families to spend time together. The architecture is composed of smaller, distinct volumes that establish a calm rhythm across the site. Landscaped terraces, shaded walkways and planted courtyards connect the buildings, creating a sequence of open spaces with different scales and degrees of privacy. Natural stone, timber and tropical planting give the resort a warm material character, while the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces keeps the surrounding landscape present throughout the experience. From lively pools and communal areas to quieter corners for rest, Aila Palm accommodates the different rhythms of a family holiday. Its design balances opportunities for play, gathering and retreat, allowing shared experiences and moments of solitude to sit comfortably alongside one another.
