Bluezone Shopping Mall and Event Center
A Caribbean retail and event destination shaped by terraces, semi-open circulation and a lively relationship with the tropical climate.
The project uses a vibrant semi-open organization to reflect the culture, color and climate of the Caribbean. Rather than relying on an enclosed mall typology, it creates a more relaxed sequence of outdoor-connected retail and event spaces.
The building steps down a sloped site through terraces, allowing circulation to follow the landscape naturally. These terraces connect directly to surrounding pathways, improving accessibility while also turning movement through the project into an experience with framed ocean views.
A steel canopy system provides shade and comfort while remaining appropriate for the climate. This covered network helps the project balance openness with environmental control and gives the complex a recognizable identity.
Commercial spaces are strengthened by their setting: landscape, views and public life are treated as part of the user experience rather than secondary elements. The result is a destination that supports shopping, gathering and entertainment in one integrated environment.
